interesting looking radar.  Just about to take the dog out, so will survey the position near Diddy Towers.  On the bread and milk front, no bread and not much milk (full fat stuff and no skimmed/UHT at the local Morrisons.  The "Beast from the Yeast", apparently...

Well I am feeling left out, I have been waiting all week for the "heavy snow weather warning" beast from east, what do I get up here in Orkney, one inch of level snow, and that's melting quickly, why that needs a weather warning I don't know.

I am enjoying the pictures though so keep them coming, I'm very jealous.

I work for a supermarket and for a small but significant minority of our customers EVERYTHING is the fault of the staff. You have no idea what folk can be like. Almost always older people, majority female and almost exclusively well off. Most folk are cool about it all though and just laugh it off if we're out of stock of something but some lose the plot completely. I've worked in retail for many years and it is not for the faint hearted.

People that do it are saints, I’ve got no patience at all, I’d tell them to f@@k off :girl_devil::rofl:

I worked in a supermarket for a good few years and your description of the 'problem' customers is spot on - even going back over 20yrs! Don't miss it at all. I can only imagine it's even worse these days with the increasing sense of entitlement, selfishness and me, me, me with the average punter! Fair play to you sir:)

Well, it's continuing to chuck it doon here with snaw.

Looks like a bit of a break coming on the radar, then maybe heavier stuff?

To be honest I'd rather not have too much more; awaiting some stuff from amazon etc so would like posties to get through.

Like @ciel , I've not seen a postie since Wednesday.

A check online and it seems most of my parcels have made it to nearby depots now, which is something.

Agree with most above, bake you own, and milk get it from the farms direct if possible. We ran low, walked to the farm and got more, win win ?

on off very light snow all morning, temp still -1c which has been like this for days now.

Yellow warning updated and mentions difficult conditions in the central belt. Maybe they are expecting that heavier looking band to the south to make it up here?

I'm officially so over this snow.

Looks like it was getting a bit milder with some hefty snow melt - now though, I can see more snow on the horizon.

Thought that this spell had a fair chance of coming off so I stocked up well beforehand.   Still don't need anything really.   I certainly wouldn't have panicked over bread tho'    It's not hard to make and milk freezes well.   :)

Oh, looked out and it is snowing quite heavily now.   The steam is almost visible coming out of husband's ears!

I'll happily take an airlifted drop of snow if anyone can bear to part with some of it. Just get it here before it melts please :D

Has been snowing very lightly all morning here.  Turning more and more to rain though.  Met o has us with heavy rain from early afternoon.   Next issue will be ice though with temps due to drop overnight.

Any thaw could be a long drawn out process for those with tonnes of the stuff..

How is the M6. We have guests thinking if heading back to Bolton today?

The light snow earlier is now quite heavy. Lying instantly on any surfaces where the lying snow had blown away / melted.

Running low on bird seed now so the birds are enjoying last nights leftovers!

Radar says snow, reality says no. Nothing at all falling but radar loaded. Weird.

Steady snow on here again, happy days :):)

Attempted to build an igloo last night, kids got bored - I got cold and gave up. Might have another bash today if we get a decent recovering..

Radar looking busy and that band currently across Lancaster has some interest..

Here's the updated yellow warning to save you clicking about for it!

Light snow here most of the morning but not really accumulating. That makes 5 days of falling snow, Wed-Sun, which ain't too shabby for late Feb into March.

Some fairly heavy snow here now. Even I’m beginning to want a bit of a thaw now ?

That's the snow back on heavy here, certainly heaviest since Friday morning. It's like the snow Gods knew that all the local primary schools had organised voluntary snow clear ups at 11am ??

Bit more snow here but not quite settling this time. Snow falling each day since Monday though that is pretty rare in itself
