My missus is great at this, and they always back down, they hate it.

anyway, been out with dogs between wee snow showers.

I’m not sure if much is going to come of this front moving from the south. Looks like it may be losing intensity as it moves up.

Well guess what we have had several snow showers this morning and another is is heading towards us from the SE over the forests a very unusual direction to see snow coming from.

Can confirm moisture coming up into Ayrshire is falling as snow. Very light snow.

Road from Dundee to St Andrews was scary first thing but a lot better on the way back. Some epic snowdrifts at the side of the road.

Snowed lightly in St Andrews this morning but has now dried up with a gentle thaw underway. 2c/-2c. Wind down to 20mph mean speed instead of the 30-35mph of recent days!

I actually forgot I had taken this for you. Taken on decking out back on level snow.

Actually looks like the band might be picking up some intensity again - some convection going on perhaps?

Had some more snow/graupel showers throughout the night and the first part of today with a gradual thaw of the lying snow, looks like it could start as snow tomorrow afternoon before turning back to sleet/rain however throughout this week looks like more wintry weather could be on the way as the colder air hangs on and moves further south at times. 2.3C / -3.8C 993.8hpa

My daughter was going to head up to Glenshee tomorrow but I advised her to do Glencoe instead. Not sure if boyfriends  Fiesta would make it. I see it is now open from the Aberdeen end though.

I have counted another 8 flakes drifting down in the yard in the last hour. Do I win anything? Most pointless post perhaps.

Redwing. If there's no cats around, chuck down anything birds might eat, as others have said, if you're in a cold and snowy area, they're desperate. Food resource at this time of year is at its lowest in the best years.

Fruit, Cheggers. Chopped apple or soaked raisins.

He is not likely to be alone. They usually roam around in flocks.

I've been putting out anything that's past sell by date from the fridge.  Even tomatoes and strawberries have been getting wolfed down.  They really must be desperate.

Following the euphoria during the recent snowstorms, I've spent the best part of 4 hours shovelling 4" of compacted snow today just to get access from the front to the back of the house.

The novelty of March snow is now begining to wear a bit thin. :cold:
