All quiet here in southside of Glasgow, all grey now but this was around 10mins ago. Had to nab this off Twitter as my phone wasn't picking it up well, bright glow towards east of City centre

You still have these 5 hours. You never know but I can't see the underestimated melting that much??

Ps Dundee has historically done very well from Easterlies. 1978,1980, 1987 etc. The only difference that I can see is that Mr H moved to Broughty Ferry recently ?

Nailed it! :D

Aye, ah ken. Just was shockingly unusual.

I'm also teasing @Hawesy as he's still technically 7 cm short on the picnic bench (although to be honest, I think realistically we're over 30 cm uniform).

Back on now! :D

EDIT. In the field behind the house earlier. Level lying nearly at my knees and I'm over 6' 2".

Very light here at the moment, managed to get out with the ruler and there's about 4'' here in Motherwell with drifts up to around 8''.

Help ma'  boab  (as they say in France)  Last half hour we have had thunder, lightning, strong winds and whiteout!  Eased off a tad just now.   Cars now struggling to get up the brae outside my house.

Well over a foot now an Lauder caught more showers than gala!

Tomorrow was always the day forecast to deliver the most for us, hopefully just a wobble but starting to look like the trough might not be over us

Latest video forecast on the Met Office site shows the snow starting to really pick up again through the Lothians early Thursday morning. I guess that ties in with the red warning through to tomorrow morning.

The Glasgow and Stirling areas seem to be getting it good just now. Lots of red blobs now appearing again just off the coast, maybe things will pick up again soon for other areas :)

Whaow ! Big crack of thunder here in Leith. It's thundersnaw time !

Edit: think it must have come from a shower in the estuary, not that much snaw coming down here right now.
