Back on here now and the radar looking packed. That's all Falkirk district schools already announced as closed tomorrow.

Happy to hear so many snaw stories from others, but i'm still watching too much slide by just to the south of me.  I thought being relatively high up on an east facing hill would have see me covered by now.

Decent band incoming between 13:00 and 14:00 for central belt and south central. Embra needs more of a prolonged spell to get some decent  depth. Last shower here was still only 15-20 minutes and not heavy for long.

Good luck everyone!

Wow a red warning whilst on holiday haha! Think Strathyre is just outside it but I'm so giddy! Booked this break months ago to try and make sure I see snow this winter lol....i think I'll achieve it :D

Sounds like its going to build through the day? Been sunny mostly up to now but snowing again.  most heavy stuff has missed here so far

Stay safe everyone

Youngest son learned his lesson - don’t attempt a snow angel with a lab puppy around!

Yellow warning added for Sunday here.  Well, I think it's been added, I'm losing track!

Do we have any gurus online? Are we getting close to streamer land?

Or am I just favouring the most optimistic radar? :cold:

Kids not happy, wind blown away most  of the snow on the best sledging hill in the area - lovely out when the sun is shining.  Vicious wind chill though.

Most of the shower activity round here is happening to the north of Bennachie (second photo shows view looking north towards it).

Def a red warning for snow in 2010, but it was removed some hours before its time-stamp arrived.

Did they not issue one in early Feb 1979 as a depression tracked up the East coast. Unfortunately it picked up a warm sector and it turned to rain. This was the same event that brought chaos and iirc a red warning to London?
