Drove through from lanarkshire this morning, that was fun, my car heater matrix had froze and temp guage all over the shop. Got to glasgow end of m74 and held for about 30 mins crawling, then at paisley turn off slow again. Was a blizzard when i got to about braehead. Even in town about 6 inch lying. Looking forward to tryin to get home the night. Office is empty lol.

Currently having a shower which so far has lasted 20mins?   Looking at the radar, we seem to be on the northern periphery of a streamer in the Forth?   Wind direction has more of an easterly element now.

Oh my God, what a fright!   Huge thunderclap just now. Huge hail too.

So weird that East Lothian seems to be the only place on the east coast where showers just disintegrate! Perhaps a stable layer somewhere around there? Or maybe the intense convection in the Forth is cutting off its supply of energy?

yes, the showers that land near say Eyemouth seem to explode as they track towards Lauder but the ones land around North Berwick / Dunbar quckly fizzle out. Very strange!

Fort William now bitterly cold, diddily squat snow.

-4 and no frost to scrape off !

The Least from the East !

It looks springlike in the west on some of the traffic cameras - mind you, the temperature is another thing!

We definitely have got off a bit lightly here in Balmedie.      Ellon just a few miles up the road has had a right pasting this morning .     Boss has just told us we can go home when we want.... :)

Certainly looks like it is organising. However, my guess is that it will be a little low for Edinburgh, if it holds anyway.

yep, again theyre all heading towards Lauder ...

All a bit "meh" so far in Dundee. We missed out earlier in the year and so far the beast has only delivered about 2cm! The kids are off school so they're delighted at least!

Snow now showing for the next 10 days so hopefully a case of getting lots of little snow showers, building depth rather than a single snow event.

Looks like that may be this, if it can hold its line anyway...

Look at all those snow showers in the North Sea! People who aren’t seeing much now will surely get something through today and tonight :)

Temperature may be -1.6C but the snow is rapidly melting off the roofs round here exposed to the sun - right, time to get sledging!

Right, there might be hope for us yet. That line of intense showers to the north of Aberdeen is at the right angle now.
