When I was small... If it was snowing when you got up, it meant the adults would be tolerant of a bit of fooling about, and things might slip that day. Look at us now, headline news, emails from the H&S people, people getting stressed about whether they can still drive their Chelsea tractor with bald tyres to yoga... Rant over.

Enjoy the day!

Blizzard conditions, heaviest snaw of the winter by a long way everything covered instantly and the radar looks full of it for a good while.

Ahhhh....... you could read this and pretend it's still December:rofl:

Poor show in Leith. Roads, pavements, cars all wet. Millimetre thick covering on some grassy surfaces but not all of them. Instantly testing my belief on the unfolding severity of this spell which has to start getting its backside in gear here  *Takes deep breath*

Proper cold air hits this morning. It's similar here but will get better.

Only had had a dusting here but don’t think  I will see much of the snow showers in Nairn due to the east winds

It’s snowing again , lots of wee flakes, intensity during showers is lovely. Great signs of things to come.

Yeah fair to say here that until colder uppers and dew points kick in later then the coastal/estuary effect here is winning. Too marginal here until that happens.

Just my opinion but with such an upheavel in our weather pattern even just a day in advance (Wednesday)on the local forecast on here we have gone from  snow showers all day to sunshine all day then how on earth can you predict accurately several days in advance. I think until we return to our normal  weather pattern from the west forecasts are going to be more inaccurate and nowcasting will rule.

Keep the pics coming.

Nothing here as yet other than some frosting. Managed a fairly respectable -7.1 overnight.

O.k now i get it how the east coast contingent feel when snow is forecast from the west :wallbash:

Any chance of sending some over to us snow starved westerners it's been nearly 2 weeks since the last fall

The snow today, isn't the "main event" - that'll come overnight and all day tomorrow and probably Thursday.
