Looks like there's some more intense stuff building off the coast between Aberdeen and Dundee just now. Are you ready, Hawesy?

It’s rained here, on the coast. Rain...

Morning, yes wet rather than white here too, but be fair that was expected at this stage. Colder air will filter in during the day. :) Not really expecting snow to lie here until this evening though.

Broughty Ferry snawshield doesn’t give up without a fight! :D

@CatchMyDrift @scottish skier Good to get proceedings officially underway!

First heavy shower on now after the main band passed through and it is pummelling down! Big flakes building depth up quickly.

Just started coming down with a bit more enthusiasm in Glenrothes after a wee bit of grauple overnight.  Still fairly light for now, but good sized flakes and a feel of promise.

Scratch that, we’ve just had a decent shower of snow and we now have a covering. :) Didn’t expect it to lie here so early in the day. Needless to say it bodes well for other coasties!

A covering of snow here too this morning, bit nothing notable yet. More on the way by the look of the radar,  and by the look of the sky to the east.

Nice fine snow now falling in Monikie. A bit wet overnight, but covering roads and pavements so the temp must have dropped off a bit. Looking good for the rest of the day!

We have a .... don't want to say cover, more like a smattering. About the thickness of a sheet of paper ?? 1pw (paper width).

Anyway there's a wee more organised organised band crossing the country the now on a WSW direction. It's just about to hit livingston for reference.
