My first was born in November and the nurse with me was Australian, she had never seen snow. She had the bloody windows wide open and the snow battering in, I thought I was goin to die of pneumonia before the baby arrived

All my three born in near biblical rain. Two in Truro, Cornwall and one in Stirling. The middle one was nearly born at home as the car wouldn't start, the midwife loaded me into her car and drove like the wind. I was home again with a baby two hours later.

I was born in a blizzard.

Parents lived in Carrbridge and had to negotiate the auld A9 over Slochd in whiteout conditions on the way tae Raigmore hospital. Mum kept asking my dad to stop so she should get out for a break and he was almost resigned to me arriving in a snaw-swept lay-by on some godforsaken moor.

It unquestionably was the beginning of a lifelong love of snaw for me. :D

Lots of you saying today was a lovely day - our themometer is wonky but it's been absolutely baltic here, too cold to do anything at all outside. Lady next door took her dog a walk and she had so many clothes on she was nearly rolling across the field instead of walking :D  The man up top of the street is lambing in a big fancy tent, with bales piled up at the entrance to keep the wind oot.

@Hawesy will you be doing the snow predictions for us all? :D

Oh aye, wouldn’t miss the opportunity to get things wrong on an epic scale! :D

Think I’ll hold off until tomorrow though as not too much happening overnight and I’ll then have the ‘benefit’ of tomorrow’s runs.

The band of snow for Tuesday is more intense on the 12z GFS compared to this mornings run, looks good for many eastern areas :)

Mine was March 10th and it was quite a nice day!   My room also had windows (non-opaque would you believe)   Yes, remember it well, they were building the extension to Forth Park at the time and I couldn't concentrate on delivering  my daughter for fear of builders on the scaffolding opposite getting an eyeful!

I'll take a stab at 10cm on the grass by Fortrose cathedral, by the same time. More in optimism than realism.

It's between my office and the bus stop :whistling:

Although the optimist in me (I can hear @Blitzen laughing already) hopes that I'm working from home :D

The latest Euro4 gives a few cm across the east on Tuesday morning, it's what's coming in behind that's taken my interest. That streamer is heading west, if that hits you end on you're buried. It looks as if it's sinking slowly south as it swings west so there is potential on that for widespread snow off it:

We all know it’s taking aim at Broughty Ferry. Payback for all the winters I’ve endured in a snow desert. :D

I think that I would prefer it if it moves due West as would Mr H I think.?
