Ideally christopher blanchett is indicating the size of stick you'll need to measure snow

Nope he was out with sean batty last night  i think he's suggesting the measurement of something totally of topic :girl_devil:

Showers coming in now at a better angle of attack for Glasgow and areas just South and East of there - Ayr also in the firing line still.

Winds going from W to WSW in the next hour or two - best action looks early hours of the morning but should get more frequent snow showers making it through soon.

Looks like it’s going to be a long day at work tomorrow after a very late night of snow watching! I would not have it any other way though. :snowman-emoji:

You should be getting hit any minute if the radar is correct!

Blob over Oban looks like it has Glasgow’s name all over it. (If it does not break up before it gets there!)

Caught the edge of the blob currently heading for South Ayrshire. Heavy for a time and lay instantly on the frozen surfaces.

Looks like it might hit here soon!

I hope it doesn’t break up just before it reaches here like most showers today.

I currently have about 2cm from a couple of showers from earlier :)

@Stormeh You look in a better position for it than I do - you are 10 miles directly West of me which is going to make a big difference!

Paisley looks a good spot also.

We shall find out in five minutes!

I should catch the southern edge of that. Story of the evening for me, only catching the edges of the showers.

Don't know how cold it is out, but given I've just had to prise the bin lid up with a crowbar, I'd say very!

Best day of the winter so far for me. Drove from Paisley to Ayr (where grew up) and instead of the expected usual transition from snow on Fenwick Moor to the green fields and rain of the Ayrshire coast it was the other way round with a blizzard in Ayr. Back in Paisley now which has just had a decent covering with even the main roads all white. ☺

Pummelling down with snow here for the last twenty minutes.  :yahoo:

Couple of centimetres on the ground now - more to come later.

Some very hefty showers out West on the radar!

Bitterly cold wind but dry too.  Unexpected flurry earlier this evening but still no significant snow since December here.  #thenewCrail

We have a covering which is sparkling brightly in a -2c fresh wind and ground beneath is freezing fast.

That’s it folks you’ve had enough snow this winter, winter is cancelled until further notice. I’m getting sick of it! Time to share it out to the real snow starved southeasteners. :cray::)

If the euro 4 is to be believed then things for the central belt look promising for plenty of showers between about 3am - 11am ish in the morning.

Not much more here overnight but looking all very crisp and crunchy out there. Traffic cams in the Highlands show some pretty white roads, surprise, surprise, wonder whether many schools will be closed.
