Just started here in the last few minutes. Light but at least it has arrived?

Certainly does seem as though the front has slowed down. Snowing very heavy here at the moment and laying with ease. Between 0.5 - 1 cm at the moment but a good couple of hours to go I reckon.

That second band of precipitation just appeared from nowhere!

Definitely pepped up and looking very organised at the moment, maybe another hour of it left here, hour and a half maybe but it's very heavy and big flakes so maybe see about 4-5 cm by the time it's over with. Not a bad result and tbh a wee bit more than I expected.

I reckon I can squeeze another 45 mins to an hour out of it but I have to tip my hat to @Hawesy with a predicted 6cm here, we're currently at about 5cm with likely another cm or so to come before the band has passed. Excellent prediction!!

Couldn't really get a decent picture from the bedroom to show the depth but if you see how far up the alloy the snow comes and also the snow on the bonnet then it gives the idea. I reckon about 6cm now and the snow's just starting to get lighter now.

Thought I'd better take the obligatory snow snap - before it all melts away.

Hawsey, your forecast appears to have been quite accurate. :)

RScotland not reporting any travel problems on the main roads at present.

Morning folks, don't like stealing 101's Thunder but seeing as he's not reported yet here goes !

Looks to be around 3cm on the ground in Currie and maybe more on cars etc. Cotton wool like flakes still falling gently. ?

Morning all,

It was snowing but not lying  in Broughty Ferry when I checked at 0130. That must have been the way of it all night as this morning we just have a trace of slush on the cars. Will be interesting to see in NE Fife fared any better, will report when I get into work. Also wonder if @Norrance has had snow accumulating in Dundee away from the immediate coast.

Pretty good covering here, haven't measured but I'd say about 4 to 5 cm on the bins out back.

Intensity recently pepped up from dandruff/light to moderate/Dickensian. There's absolutely nae wind, so anything sheltered is snow-free but areas with an unobstructed line down from the vertical have received a few cm.

I just dropped a post in here to add some balance to the force ...

No more than a covering here, and that's a very optimistic estimate. Not measurable, but better than nothing. Continues our pretty snowless special since the falls mid Dec, so I hope the SSW does the business later in the month.
