Could get bad tonight as that front passes over! The latest Met Office video forecast graphics suggesting as much as 50-60% lawn coverage!

Afternoon all! Well wasn't yesterday just a wee cracker o' a day? It was almost spring-like in the sunshine, which has now made an appearance back in oor garden! Doggie walking day it was, even they enjoyed it! Today we have cloud and wee, blustery winds and it's a bit on the chilly side at 6.3c but the wind chill brings it down to 3.4c. Snaw this week? Mibbes aye, mibbes naw. Not really to bothered as we have places to go and could do without it, but if it comes we'll just have to deal with it! Keep the wellies and thermals to hand this week, they're gonnae be needed! :cold:

But then I am off to Norway on Wednesday where a high of minus 9 expected Wednesday; I wonder what the Norwegian is for "marginal"

4 or 5cm will do fine for me and a tuesday night sledging instead of coaching a lot of hyper kids

make it happen @Hawesy

Regardless of what happens tonight that view should have a lot more 'blue sky' in it tomorrow. Looks like a cracking winters day on the cards :)

As far as I know it's only me and Aggy that are yet to see a measurable snowfall this 2017/18 winter and as you can see, sadly, I'm not expecting that to change!

I've had nothing measurable.:) Just maybe a cm close-by. My location is fairly well sheltered from the W/NW.

Now, Easterlies and Nor'easters are a different matter.:nonono:

A couple of ice days though.

3cm.

Deal.

Just enough to make driving a RWD BMW fun, but not enough to make it dangerous,

Some of the models seem to show the back end of the front producing rain as it departs the east coast.  Is that likely?  Might melt my 1 cm

Okay it's the moment everyone hasn't  been waiting for. :D Please note that these predictions are for total snowfall amounts through Wednesday morning so they include the follow-on showers which will affect western areas (mostly) after the snowband goes through overnight. I've been pretty conservative this time around because I'm a bit skeptical about the amount of snow we'll see from tonight's band. Let's hope I'm underdoing it! As always it's just for fun and apologies if you are not on the list, it grows bigger every time and I'm starting to forget where folk live!  As far as I know it's only me and Aggy that are yet to see a measurable snowfall this 2017/18 winter and as you can see, sadly, I'm not expecting that to change!

I didn't stay long because I don't think the front has reached England yet!   However, I did find out  this really useful piece of information .............

You need to integrate the functions to find the total energy supplied though (i.e. find the area under each curve). So you can see that, overall, the equator receives massively more energy over the course of a year..................Suddenly, everything's falling into place!:wallbash:
