Woke up at 4.45am and it was tanking it down with huge flakes.   Woke up again to a slight covering.   0.8c/-7cDP.:)

Currently in East Kilbride - sprinkling on the grass but that’s it. (heavy snow showers blowing through but not sticking)

Places 200 meters and above doing really well today - can’t see much snow settling below that.

Bring back the period late evening January 15th to January 21st please I am still  buzzing from it!

Plenty of Winter left and it’s looking good! Saturday the next possible snow event to keep an eye on!

Have a good day everyone.

Charts are looking very good this morning for cold and snow as we head through February. I am hoping for some nice cold sunny ice days so I can do a bit of hill walking in the Highlands. The model thread is full of joy this morning I see, beast fae the east must be coming :p

Insane shower came through about 10 minutes ago in this order...blue sky, dark clouds/light rain/heavy hail/massive flash of lightning then huge rumble of thunder/now snow falling. :D

The joy of Winter! :yahoo:

Can see a massive difference that elevation is making today. The difference between 180m and about 220m + is very stark.

Currently very heavy hail now

Edit: now thundersnow a plenty!!

WOW!!! Big bright flash of lightning and loud crack of thunder here with  heavy hail!

I grabbed my phone and got the tail end of the thunder. The neighbors dugs got a fright haha..

Afternoon all,

Dry and sunny here in NE Fife though with a chilly breeze. Just about to get a train through to Glesga, will report back on any interesting weather en route!

Had a wee cm at the hoose this morning.

Heavy snaw on and off at work here near the airport.

Planning a few turns at Hillend on the way home; always nicer to ski on carpet when it's got a wee coating of snaw.

Nae snaw  here, just on the tops of the hills. I'm thinking of going into the MOD thread, just to gauge the insanity off course! I doubt we'll see any white stuff over our way, which is fine, but Iooked ahead to mid Feb and it's looking well dodgy! Possibility of white stuff all round. I now it's two weeks away but I really hope it doesn't pan out that way as I have to drive down to Stirling. Scary driving in the snaw! Baltic here today, that wind wid cut ye in three! :cold:
