It's light snow here Hawesy.

Just popped outside as I could see nothing. There is a very light drizzle falling down here.

Feel bad for folks who live on the east coast. That band was pretty much intact when it hit the Glasgow area so gave a good two hours worth of heavy snow, but has then broken up as it crossed the country. Even those who got snow at lower levels wouldn't have got much.

Just been round wintering sheep to check and count in a strong SE wind and watched snow come at us from all points of the compass to develop into a mini blizzrard with the temperture falling from 2c to 1c. Snow blowing cross all  the fields now but snowfall  intensity has eased a  lot

+03/M00 here in Aberdeen. I think we're going to miss this whole period of snow throughout this last week in its entirety. Some amazing pictures from around the country though!

No better inland a bit. After a pretty frosty night it's currently 3.3C so if anything does fall its likely to be wet rather than white. In total during this spell we've seen no more than a very thin dusting.

I'd take a good drenching just to clean up the roads though. I've just put my car through a carwash as you could probably have grown tatties on it. Unless we get some rain to clear the roads it'll be just as bad again by mid week.

Temperature back down  to 0.5c with strong SE wind still blowing. See the radar has freezing rain to my west on it never seen the purple colour before so another first for this spell of west wind snow. All in all proper winter weather It"ll be interesting to see how mild it gets tonight I reckon it will stay fairly cold overnight especially if the cloud clears.as its mid winter and the ground is very cold.

Interestingly - Stirling Council stating they're making a call on schools in the morning.  Wouldn't have thought there was any doubt that tomorrow is going to be wet....

Temps actually dropped here again! Back down to 0.5c. Latest shower is basically falling ice! Loads of purple 'freezing rain' on the radar!

Great afternoon in the snow. Decent quality snow too. Most unexpected :D

Sleety rain stuff through here but a weird orangy red coloured sky. Anyone else?

Sky has went orange here too. Snowy clouds maybe? Reflection from lying snow?

Don't know but it went from orange through red to a sicky violet colour. Getting dark now.

Possibly just a red sunset above thin cloud but it was really weird.
