Been a great week.

No meaningful snow in Leith and most of Edinburgh and you’d wonder what the fuss is about.

Yet as soon as you head south it’s a different world.

By far the snowiest place is near Tinto hill with easily 10-12 inches it looked like.

Back home, it was a very decent week. Usually we get lots of showers from the West but uppers are marginal and it’s sleet. However not with this one, 5/6 inches lay at one point and there’s still about 4 left which is all icy and crunching.

Been a good winter so far and hopefully February can deliver something too

Much of Scotland has a nice white coat I suspect it’s been a few years since anything alike.

There must be some model related discussion that can be slotted into in the Model Thread ???

Went for a walk from Clarkston to the World War Two Anti Aircraft Battery on Netherton Braes via Linn Park. Graffiti in the third photo includes ‘nostalgia used to be better’.

After two dry cold days  it seems there are some small snow showers heading towards us from the NW on the radar. Lost count of the number of times  over the years we have a last minute snowfall  just as it is about to get a bit milder. Currently 0c so temperature slightly up so there coud be a little snow on the way.
