So the result you’ve all been waiting for....did it snow in Broughty Ferry? :D

Well as this poor quality image shows there is a trace of snow at the railway station but even in my desperation I don’t think I could honestly claim it as a measurable snowfall. :D

I dare say the higher bits of town away from the Tay may have a slight covering....so while it’s the only snow this winter has delivered so far it’s not exactly one for the ages! Officially for now the 3cm I recorded last January is the only measurable snowfall I’ve had at home since December 2010.

Well, just picked up 3 cm aff the blob as it passed over.

I think leaving work early was a bit of an overreaction, but hey, I've a beer open an hour early. :)

Anyone know what the roads are like going into East Kilbride?

The main roads are fine but there was an accident at the Tax office flyover and traffic was back till Busby .Side streets are dicey .

I am 65 meters above sea level so thought even a slight elevation would help...currently very dark and raining.

Today is up there with the biggest snow disappointments of my life and there have been many! The bar was raised too high on Tuesday now it’s back to the old rubbish!

Parts of Ayrshire, rural South Lanarkshire and Shuggie in for another absolutely pummelling.

This is all the snow we have left since Tuesday. ?

In EK the snow cover is intact and deep .Are you closer to Glasgow?

Why do we like snow? I've been asking myself this for the last couple of weeks. What is it about that stuff that we all love on here?

This week has been a very good one for much of south scotland, some very significant amounts of snowfall and number of snow events in a short space - border country has hit the jackpot it seems!

Down here, not great though, just on the margins and quite frustrating, but don't have to go too far to see some decent cover, given proximity to high ground. Could have been so much better.

Snow back on here and heavy. Looks like a bit more to come yet.

Took a measure from the front grass below the window that's not been touched or melted. Not bad. Well done hawsey.

Satellite still looking decent, upgraded from the usual 'blob' to a 'clump'..

Another big dump on Sunday before the milder weather pushes in would be the icing on the cake! :)

Well that was a serious blizzard that hit Strathaven this afternoon. Had to dig the car out to get it moving and a very hazardous drive along the a71 to Irvine.  Well over a foot of snow in strahaven total carnage.

For me it's because I'm Cornish so didn't see much of it while I was growing up.

Oh and it's a bit "wild," if that makes sense.

Wild as in wilderness not as in two bottles of wine and dancing on the table. Not that there's anything wrong with wine... Or table dancing.... Apart from when you fall off. :whistling:

Why do we like snow? Well  it is pretty rare in the UK and for me its in the genes being of Norse decent according to my surname. The sight  of it always has positive effect on me. Currently -2c and dry. Others who hate it can"t understand me!!!

It's cold and white and covers all the shhhhite?

Aye, it does, and in 09/10 we were still finding the dogs ones in the back garden weeks later when it all finally melted.
