As expected in a more straight westerly the heaviest ppn is being pushed to the south of the Pentlands

Snow back on here, moderate but not really settling - I'm assuming it's @Hawesy and his wet bulb

I'm beginning to wish I'd never mentioned it! :D (Though it really is a major player in snow settling).

Not that it matters here anyway as there is nothing falling from the sky. Still time yet but I've got a sinking feeling....

I'm glad you did mention it - learning something new is never a bad thing :D

Edit: Settling again now in the latest shower. I now know why :D

Currently -0.5c Young Mr. Northernlights has just delivered hay to Daviot where there is 5 inches lying Its been a long time since we had such a cold snowy west wind and it seems odd watching the snow  showers come in from the west

Aye my window faces due west. Earlier on it was all going north of us and hitting Fife, and then it all started going south of us. The Embra snow-shield taking the p1ss as usual !

Snowing again here for the first time in a few hours. About 3 inches in the garden but there's nothing left on summit of East Lomond as it's all been blasted away! Just rime on the western aspects and ridges.

Yeah - it's settling now. It wasn't earlier.
