Rocheydub, this is 2 miles from me! This was today before the rain came here.

I would say the snowline is not more than 50 metres higher.

I live no more than a mile from my parents... it's been snowing with me since 8 and they have rain/sleet

It's still depressing when you thought you were sure to get some.

We got as low as 0.5c and still nothing. Makes you wonder what weather conditions you need for sea level snow these days.

I will say this, without trying to sound flippant. Go drive the 2 miles and see it! I had no snow lie on the ground since 2010. I could absolutely guarantee you haven't had that issue given your location. All good things come to those that wait, and when it does arrive, it's all the more sweeter!

Been trying to get my father to go out, but we have an automatic car, so not good in the snow lol.

 I certainly am Neiller! Been a frustrating winter so far except the week of freezing temps and a bit of snow in December.

I think it's been a few miles further south than expected.

has anyone heard anything about where the strong winds are hitting?

We're getting lashed now. Wheelie bins (emptied today) flung around the garden! Happy to report that the trampoline is intact and in-situ!  Temp hovering about the 2 degree mark. Maybe if we got some precipitation it could get interesting, but there's nothing. And I got a soaking earlier when I was up coaching the kids, it was 4 degrees and absolutely piddled down!

I'm really not too far from you - I've had solid snow for about 45 mins now ... Hopefully it turns back to snow for you and the rain doesn't come my way lol :D
