I've hit the jackpot, still hammering it down here. Over three inches since 6.30pm! Still had 4-5 inches lying since yesterday too.

Enjoy it... The wind really picking up here now, the worst to arrive soon and up until 3am by all accounts. Interestingly, Met Eireann on the RTE news at 9 showed a map of precipitation for tonight and it showed snow over Dublin. the NWP I looked at showed us the wrong side of marginal with wet bulbs and dew points... Not sure that can happen but glad to be proved wrong. Met Eireann are rarely wrong!

My goodness massive big snowflakes, struggling to lie except on the existing snow. Wasn’t expecting it, forecast was for sleet/ rain here

Won't play for me. Will try on the laptop later! Fair play for posting. **EDIT** Played for me there. Brilliant!!! Thanks for posting it.

Not expecting anything tonight. Mind you, still f*****g buzzing after last night and the hour I spent with the dog in it! Love that crunchy underfoot feeling!

Naw, 300 metres is only a mile away. So you can imagine how I'll feel in the morning, when I look out the window and see white fields only 1/4 mile away.

This is seriously so depressing. I was SO close to getting a good amount of snow.

Take it easy young man, I went from December 2010 until last night between having lying snow on my road... Life is short but the good times do roll! Plenty of opportunities in the next 2/3 days too.

Heavy snow in Mallusk - my partner arrived home a mere 10 mins ago and the car is covered and the car tracks on roads are completely covered in snow again - yay! Hope it continues for a while. It amazes me how quickly it can change - literally have an hour ago the roads were slushy, ground was wet in places (on top of lying snow from yesterday - we still had quite a bit) and any small amounts of snow that were falling (more sleety snow) were not lying.. Now it's full heavy snow covering everything again.

You have no idea, though! I live so close to high elevation it's unreal!
