I have never seen so much snow in my life like today,I was trying to reach my friend who lives in  Manor Kilbride on Sally gap road(Wicklow Mountains)  to give him a lift to the shops as he spent last

Lovely record breaking morning from West Wicklow, we have got an inch or two on the ground

But but but... Who'd collect for the many charities, or sing in the gospel choir on Sunday mornings? What happened out there was premeditated looting. It's disgraceful. Shocking and abusing the f

Absolute bust for me and don’t see any hope of snow around this way.

Lovely to see all the pics doing the rounds across the country though.

    I'm suspecting it's a bust for Larne unless there's a miracle...

Looking like an absolute bust for us in the North East, absolutely no idea why the Met Office have a yellow warning for snow for the next three days. Aside from a few showers along the North coast and the Newry direction it looks very poor.

This is the latest Met Office forecast for the weekend:

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Becoming drier through Friday and Saturday with only a few showers in east but snow showers will most probably return on Sunday. Occasionally windy. Feeling very cold.

    --

The snow from the low to the South is going to get no where near us and this is backed up on the latest 6z GFS.

The models have been very poor in their forecast for our areas.

Some areas may get a surprise if their lucky but it's not looking good.

Has not snowed in mid-louth since around 7am. Around 3 inches fell here. The odd streamer may come through today but I don't think it will snow as much as they say. Isle Of Man blocking some showers.

I think your area is favoured as the wind remains North Easterly, becoming more Easterly. The Dublin area will continue to see snow piling in I think.

If you compare the ppn around the low on Friday its about 200 miles further east on the 6z today than it was on the 18z last night.

It seems to split and part travels up the irish sea but breaks up quite quickly as it nears the isle of man.

The south and east of ireland should do well.

Can't see us any further north than Drogheda getting any accumulations or causing any issues.

Hopefully over the next couple of runs the low will track further north, but looking unlikely based on MetO forecasts.

According to my estimations most of 23cms(9inches) fell roughly between 11PM and 5:30AM, trip to work took only 15 minutes more then usual which is bizarre, a truly epic 3-4 days ahead in Wicklow hills that can  possibly rival most of the records from 20th century as regards to snowfall totals, it is just unreal, I hope you guys get your fair share of snow later too

Noticed that, and consequently convection starting off Eastern Down coast, just need a bit more Easterly than North Easterly.

Check out the radar, showers are now developing over land. Large bank of heavy clouds moving into Omagh now.

Streamer looks to be pushing north on east coast too, you guys should see some action soon!!

looking at how the showers are moving accross scotland and england it looks south easterly now, see the big gap in showers between north england and south? we are between that gap lol
