Same here MS. Got up to 22.8 in MBY this afternoon. Delicious... And always an excuse to have a beverage in said back yard too this evening!

I can't be doing with this heat at night. Don't mind it during the day so much but I can't sleep and I'm awake at 7am for no reason . Local stations on Wunderground were floating about the 25/26 degrees mark, would well believe it.

Looks like a brief interruption to the clear blue skies on Friday as we get in on the thunderstorm act...

Seen that, any idea yet about severity of these or is it too early?

Too early. Should have a better idea this time tomorrow.

That's a very muggy day

Muggy, sticky, humid. Love it. The unusual weather is what grabs my interest. And it's glorious!

Huge cell just developed around Dungannon within 45 mins. Could be fun this evening!

Absolutely boiled in the Office Mountain, Belfast is a bit stinky this weather

Doesn't look promising for storms in the North East now. Received very little from the cell that moved up the North channel.

Storms breaking our widely in the West though.

Had a great downpour/thunder/lightning in Cookstown but was in a meeting with work. Was very tempted to just walk and and watch the sky but might not have went down too well. Horrendously clamy today though.

Awesome cloud structures on road home between Cookstown and Omagh. Almost continuous low level thunder and sheet lightning on all sides.

Wow what a drive home. As soon as I entered that cloud structure things went crazy. Could only drive 20mph and continuous lightning. Roads severely flooded yet I can see down to Omagh and it's lovely and bright. The image below highlights yesterday's weather and today. Got our own swimming pool in back garden!

What an absolutely fantastic week here on the east coast. my ideal weather (maybe could have done with a serious thunderstorm to really perfect it, but I won't be greedy!) 2 claps of thunder and a mini sheet lightning still filled my senses!

A bit of a return to Atlantic midweek to come but still warm nonetheless. Love being off work for it too!!!

Hope all you guys have enjoyed this unusual bliss! I know the west and south of the island did less well, but at least it's still warm??

Met office pretty atrocious with their warnings. None for today and this. Similar one day last week and another day they had a warning and nothing happened anywhere while met eireann had none that day and were correct.  Met Éireann more on the money orange warning out for today. And met office have one out for tomorrow, doubt it will be as bad as today.
