Can that precipitation in the Irish Sea move North any slower?

Visitor from other side of the Irish sea, hopefully not as it appears it could be backbuilding, and we'd rather like that! :p

In all seriousness, the photos of your blizzard are amazing, truly a once in a life-time event. Enjoy it. And keep taking photos for us to marvel at.

Just shown it live on BBC News over here, I was over in Dublin in December 2010 when you had some heavy snow, this looks really impressive even in center of city so up hill towards airport it must be a complete whiteout.

It's meant to reach us tomorrow but predicted to be very much a weaker affair.

It's amazing what is falling in Dublin atm, we tried to get to relatives with no water and no heat but couldn't get out of the estate. Looks like this now

incredible scenes around the country. what a winter its been. everyone has got in on the act at some stage or another. i hope that front can push a bit further nw and gives us another wee top up. then it can thaw all it wants.

Anything a week out is questionable, the nature of forecasting. I mean, here's me on the East coast of Northern Ireland and not a flake on the ground. I never expected that to happen with what was forecasted and how the models looked, but it just did.

What’s the chances of the heavy stuff in the Irish Sea moving west?

I haven’t followed models or forecasts at all today, think I’m burnt out after being glued to it for the past couple of weeks. Would be great to see a further top up as I plan a climb up Sliabh na Cailleagh tomorrow. Highest point in Meath so should be pretty spectacular up there. I’ll take plenty of pics to share with all in here.

Class photography everybody. That’s a once in a lifetime storm alright. Something I doubt I will ever see unless I take a trip to USA for a nor’easter. I do wonder why the north had a yellow warning for snow today. There hasn’t been one snow shower.

Sorry you guys are missing out, really am, trust me, I know how that feels!!!

Meanwhile Dublin is in the grip of another blizzard. There’s been at least 3 or 4 more inches fallen since 5pm. Got out of work just in time!!! Had to pop up and check on my Mam, and the roads are worse now than any of the previous nights in this spell. A truly epic spell that looks like ending in Sunday as a thaw sets in. My snow buzz has been well and truly satisfied!

Radar looking interesting.  Hoping that blob reaches East Belfast and then sits there for hours.
