I keep going from light snow to a notch just below moderate but been snowing on and off for 3 hrs maybe. Just cannot get the heavy stuff which is a shame but good all the same

Remarkable weather at the moment, certainly a historic event in the making. Took a stroll to the pub earlier and took the following pics. Never seen anything like it before and hoping for more to come ?7F08026A-ECBD-449A-B94B-7B354EE8409B.thumb.jpeg.eba0bce0c80ff1ab96986e794c89c8cc.jpeg14E5E402-2136-4447-8135-6D8DE03E83FF.thumb.jpeg.53c5b2c0da5c72c1fc7e1f2528dc1dc1.jpeg86CB44A1-D55B-4E41-BAB9-7398D0F8BE33.thumb.jpeg.b932766ab1eabcb60dfbd7a4ef2ab4d5.jpeg

Looks like I got another 5cm or so last night, now drifting in the strong wind. Nothing like Dublin totals of course.

I would say the GFS has been more accurate than the higher res models like Arpege, Hirlam and Euro 4.

Looks good here for the next couple of days, more so tomorrow.

Not a drop in Bangor (seafront), don't even think it has tried all night. Think its over for me now, too much of an Easterly for me to catch those streamers.

Just a few powdery granules fell overnight, not enough for a covering but wife and myself just remarking at the wind. Far worse than when Ophellia arrived, have to be honest and admit I'm glad we didn't have snow to go along with it, would have been crazy conditions. Had to pick up spuds from Tesco yesterday and the roof of a trolley bay blew off and hit a ladies car, not good when folks property getting damaged.

Do ye think that area will move up Irish sea across from Liverpool and Isle of man. On track if pushes up:cold:

Well... it looks as if we’re finally getting a streamer, just as I leave for work. Sadly, it’s fairly light but better than what we’ve had so far, I’m happier...

Stunningly beautiful weather all the same. Enjoy what you get folks. May be a while before this happens again.

I'd love to be in Dublin about now.

Powder stuff being blown everywhere, the south got buried by the looks of it. Not sure if I want to be in the middle of such madness or not!!

In a warm house with its own power supply, an open fire, good company and a nice bottle of something distilled.

that would be ok.

That wind is crazy. Slight bit of snow overnight - not covering the roads tho so nothing to write home about

Ok. Couple more days of this and I’m ready for spring. Been good last few days so can’t complain but I’m now looking forward to something resembling warmth. ?

Know the feeling watcher. The snow shield worked well.
