Excuse the poor video skills but I just took this from my office window. Had to come back inside to zoom in and see the drifting snow better. This streamer has been excellent!

How does that graphic square with this from the Met Office?

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Becoming drier through Friday and Saturday with only a few showers in east but snow showers will most probably return on Sunday. Occasionally windy. Feeling very cold.

Come on.

Here's hoping the GFS/UKMO & ECM come good shortly.

Need a proper covering to reflect some of the sun. Bits and pieces melt quicker. Looks pretty quiet across the North for this evening.

We need a proper cold zonal Westerly.

When a mild south westerly is locked in forecasting is great...once there's cold air over us the models are pretty useless especially when it comes to the track of low pressure impacting us. The slider in December was the same until a day out. All over the place.

Absolutely hammering it down here now and instantly lying. It's actually a mini blizzard with the strong wind. This is in the city centre.

Just saw that, something to look forward to if it happens. hopefully it maintains it's intensity as it moves north. Areas in the south of Ireland have intense snowfall for nearly 24 hours, going to be epic there!

GFS back in the game for Friday into Saturday. Doesn't look massively heavy but perhaps 12 hours of moderate snowfall.

Better than nought.

mmmmmm....touch and go ms.

GFS seems pretty confident on the track now, its been positioned similar (ish) for the past couple of runs.

Bad news is.....my flight to london tomorrow still running....flight home better be on :nonono:

Gem sticks to its guns better than the Gfs still all to play for.
