Snow melting as quick as it came. I think that’s. Why warning has been so much downgraded. Bit more strength in sun this time of year and most showers coming during daylight hrs before tailing off so won’t accumulate as much. AH well still nice to see snow falling but can’t see much of it lying due to strong sun during showers.

Was doing that even before the sun came up here. Melting on the paths. Never froze properly here and everywhere soaking from yesterday doesn't help. Everywhere is completely white at the minute tho but sun is out now.  Tuesday snow was better here, everywhere was frozen.

Can't believe that melted so quickly. Unlikely to be much accumulation today in the East.

Very little at all. Don’t think it’s anywhere near as cold as they thought it would be. Only chance of it lying here is after dark when sun goes. But we need showers for that and it doesn’t look good for us anyway.

About 2/3 inches on the ground now. Even the lower areas in Derry have lying snow. Best of the winter yet.

You have been in prime spot all winter mate. Happy days. Hope it keeps coming for you.

As for the east not really expecting much more in the way of showers at all now.

Cheers Neiller. It has been decent alright. Hopefully showers continue in to dark as in between the sun is melting some.

Hopefully. I think a lot of people in the east are pinning there hopes on the phantom easterly which looks dead at min. But I’m guessing models don’t have a handle on things yet. But we will see.

This is far more frequent than forecast, been snowing on and off all morning, even slight covering at sea front.

The wind direction as well seems more westerly than north westerly

Was sunny here half hour ago and the heavy snow that fell before that was starting to thaw. My drive was white and now it’s clear again but this snow is atrtong to lie again lol. Very up and down today. Would be nice not to have the thawing in between cos we would have a few inches by now if it didn’t melt ?

It’s snows heavy, then it melts, then it snows heavy, then it melts.

Roll on darkness, could do with temps a couple of degreees less and the wind to die down.

Radar been looking tasty all morning and heavy ppn is reaching here.....if these showers would merge as we get closer to darkness we would be laughing. Hopefully they don’t die out later, but by MetO update it appears they do
