March - in like a lion, out like a lamb.....

My perfect March would be like the above proverb - Cold snowy first half then spring warmth second half ....

Lovely crisp morning, love frosty mornings.

Week ahead continues to look good for snow chances.

Yes looks good. Here’s hoping. Starting with some snow later this evening.

Well that's the end of that! Met ie have taken Donegal off their warning and say snow in the East. Oh well it's a lovely sunny frosty morning at least!

You're not in Donegal though?

Don’t think anybody in the west would begrudge the east getting some snow for once. The west has done rather well of late. We have even had a few light snow sprinkles this morning. Looking forward to this eve though. Will be watching radar like a hawk from Late this avo.

Well not exactly ( my location is actually Newton Stewart rather than Omagh) and I tend to get whatever Donegal is forecast when it comes to this kind of weather. Seems to turn to snow as it gets further inland. Temps not quite low enough here, much like a repeat of a fortnight ago which I'm sure many will be pleased about further east!

In fairness along the border we've had pretty much nothing! Only hills in the west.

We're half the schools not closed a couple of weeks ago and pictures of cars getting stuck?

Looks pretty marginal in the east also!

It does, but it looks quite a heavy down pour so I’m hopeful it will remain as snow to my level! I had my first lying snow this year in 8 years (had a cm that lay from 11pm one night until about 6am) and I loved it... This could potentially be a good bit more!

Scoops were closed here in the east for 3 days in December cold spell but were not a couple of weeks ago. We didn’t have much snow here. The west did and schools were closed

Ok so maybe we should agree the furthest East didn't get much and neither did the furthest west so I need to move to somewhere hilly in the middle!!

Still a few chances of snow next 3 days so better than nothing. Who knows after that.

That's simply not true unless you live 100m+ in Tyrone. Anywhere further west and the altitude gets higher..
