Well in the last cold spell it had me down for heavy snow from 5 in morn until 10!  Outcome was sunny all morning and no snow so I will take it as a pinch of salt and see what happens.

Interesting model output for the next 7 days or more, never really warming up and very cold at times with the threat of snow everywhere! Sometimes very marginal but enough to keep the interest!

You'll have to excuse my pessimism but it does look like that front might be rain when it collides with the cold air. Ofcourse only semi reliable

It is gradually stalling further west each run which benefits us. Of course it could be rain but it wouldn’t take much adjusting for it to be a snow event. One to watch.

Looks as if it might be sleety at first then snow as it progresses. Is one to watch

Hmm. Looks very knife edge for us early game NI. Easterly cold might not reach us

Still very much an evolving situation, we could get a situation where a cold North Westerlies move in against already cold contintental air and bring heavy snow with it.

A few nice heavy snow showers came through here today in south Kilkenny which was unexpected. Current shower only falling as sleety rain so upper temps must have mixed out which often happens in these marginal set ups. Looks like there could be further snow opportunities for the foreeeable based on current model charts...If MJO and Strat signals etc. play out as expected by the experts, it looks like Feb as a whole could be a very wintry month with further snow at times. Interesting times...

Bottled Snow
