For all areas? After last night's let down am not holding much hope.

Yes snow for us from 8pm. We look to be lucky enough to stay as all snow.

Seems particularly heavy at 10pm to midnight.

Not for all the North though. Looks very much a North West of Belfast Lough thing.

Your not too confident for us MS. Think it will be a now casting event. Strange meto updated to cover most of Northern Ireland in that case

NIweather on facebook going for northern areas and away from the coast.

Quote

There is a risk of some snowfall tonight folks from Storm Fionn.

We are aware that Met Eireann have issued an Orange (Amber) warning for snow for Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan

We are assessing the risk of snow and hope to have an update and issue warnings soon.

There is some uncertainly regarding the location and extent of any snowfall. But at this stage it looks like Northern parts are most likely to see snow. The snow is expected to be more inland and It is likely to be a sleet/snow mix in coastal area

Coastal area being Portrush or further inland?

A few pockets of snow left here, on the trampoline, and in shaded areas. Loved last night. Good luck to you all tonight, while you're lamppost  watching, I'll be watching the trampoline take off down the road!!!

We're almost right on the dividing line (currently modelled) between snow and rain, a slight jog South then it could be snow, a light jog North then definitely rain.

It could even waver between rain, sleet and snow depending on the heaviness of the bursts.

I thought it wasn't due until tonight. I take it this is it incoming.

Moving at a stead pace alright, I thought after 8 also.

Not overly heavy looking precipitation by radar.

A few comments starting to appear that it is coming in slightly more south than predicted.

I'd say another half hour we'll have an idea of snow / sleet / rain.

Well it was supposed to start as sleepy rain first I thought. I’m expecting nothing here but north Northern Ireland should do well. Hopefully a slight adjustment south

Well that pink blob is heading straight to Omagh. I'm sitting in my office looking out the window so I'll report back in 15 mins. All rain here at the minute.

Precipitation now getting very heavy and I can confirm it is definitely getting more wintry. Not proper sleet but def white flakes within the rain. Should be better at home 100m higher.
