Since I was 5 (in 2000), I can remember at least 15 good falls of snow, more than a dusting that is.

2005–06 - several falls of an inch or 2.

2007–08 - a few 1 inch falls.

2008-09 - again a couple of 1 inch falls.

2009–10 - 4 inches on Dec 23rd; several inches throughout January; one or two transient falls in February. 30th nov 2010 - 1 inch off in Easterly.

17th Dec 2010 - 11 inches, An evening  never to be forgotten.

2013 - 3 inches on Jan 18th; 2 inches on Jan 25th (transient); some transient falls in February;  two falls of 3 inches in March.

Nothing like that since. Just the last 5 years that have been really bad here.

Well just checked and I had 19 air  frosts in 2014–15 winter, 8 in 2015–16. 1981-2010 average is 23.2.

I’m at 50 feet asl, 1.5 miles from the coast.

It’s only the peaks by the looks of it that have a weather warning for snow. However, that warning mentions western coasts, so maybe it’ll update later on.

becoming much more sleetier here in Mottram with wet flakes mixed in turning to snow in heavier burst. Let's hope this gets better later this evening.

Snowing here now following about an hour of sleet and hail, its going to be one of those days where it snows all day but doesn't accumulate.  Car temp flicked between 0 and 1. Hope the temp drops later and we might be in with a chance.

Here all the lying snow has gone with just a mix of sleet and occasional snow falling, down the Goyt towards the Cat and Fiddle however it's typical altitude conditions with HGVs jacknifing and many having to turn back around to Buxton.

Heavy shower in Whitefield. Of rain

I just got back home from Oldham Town centre 200m and i can confirm its rain there too.

Think the showers will die away tonight- really tomorrow is last chance saloon for quite a while for this cursed region.

Very near the coast of an estuary on a hill/ridge that moderately inclines SW and NE. In Spring of 2016 we did record an air frost just not in the winter period.
