Anyway after that bit of weirdness I thought you’d all like to know that the temp is 6.0°C and the dp is 4.8°C.

That’s good that it’s on the turn so early!

If the current radar is anything to go by, I doubt getting precipitation tomorrow should be difficult ..

Netweather radar is the best i think, 5 min intervals and precipitation type...always handy for us where its always pretty marginal

Heavy sleet falling. If this turns to snow, there will be quite an accumulation in a short time.

Tomorrow morning could be interesting.

Indeed. :)

Just highlighting that I think that precipitation should be much more widespread than EURO4 implies..

Mmmm... Tommyfield Market (Oldham Town Ctr) is higher at 209m asl than some parts of Uppermill & Greenfield (165m asl)...obviously not all parts... Dovestone Reservoir is at 255m asl

Play about with this https://www.maps.ie/coordinates.html to find your altitude/elevation above sea level.

Heavy rain here in south Lakes (Ambleside/Windermere).

Not expecting anything nextcouple of days except higher ground.

Another non-event for me.

I wouldn't be surprised if you  see snow sticking at your location tomorrow. Being among the fells should help with evaporative cooling and bring the temps and snowline down.

Geoff Monk on the mountain forecast MWIS http://www.mwis.org.uk/pdf/weather-forecasts/LD-MWI-WM11440_2018-01-15_121542_1980000.pdf  mentions snow into the valleys.

'Snow and hail showers, often heavy and sometimes coming in one after another to give intermittent whiteout from lower slopes up. Snow will lie into the valleys, except perhaps near the coast. Thunderstorms. Frequent snow and hail showers. Possible lightning'
