Its been snowing for the past hour with a patchy covering on the ground, however, looking at the radar it seems to be clearing from the west so that's probably it for the day.

Hi mate, Yes crap again this morning, glad I added in the downgrade bit to my earlier post after seeing lastnight's gfs. Not seen any charts this morn so i'm still hoping Sunday will deliver, as of lastnight it had upgraded. And certainly no towel throwing from me with regards to Feb & a good chunk of March. Will post properly later.

If it makes you feel better I'm right in the middle of the ppn lol and it's going to miss me either side.

The frequency of alerts/warnings needs to be addressed as there are to many that turn out incorrect and just too many for things that shouldn't need a warning.. like a dusting of snow.

I'm not going to pin any hopes on Sunday either, Carols wording on the last BBC weather report weren't exactly inspiring for much snow then!

O great.

If sunday turns into ANOTHER damp squib then its ECM or bust..

You have to laugh at the greater manchester sized gap in the ppn on the radar. Then again the Met office app downgradrd last night so was expected.

A few flakrs of snow blowing in the wind still

I honestly dont know how i got all them snowy setups in my younger days, this part of the UK is utterly garbage- even North westerlies are bobbins for me and thee.

If Carol Kirkwood is right about sunday i think im close to giving up on this winter.

I couldn't agree more! The public will stop taking notice when there is a warning every other day for nothing.
