Yes the heaviest precip will be 6am to 8am - uppers and dew look good to me chris, dews -1/uppers -7..could be touch and go low ground but high ground its quids in, or at least it should be..

850s look to me to be -8/-9. 925s at -4. That suggests snow to sea level imo.

Well I think that confusion was because I posted after somebody posting about February being the driest month

Hoping meto put a warning out for tomorrow - that will increase confidence..

Like chris i think snow will fall to low  levels tomorrow morning..

I think they’ll be one out by 11 AM. 1–3 cm at low levels, 5–10 cm for high ground. I expect the coast won’t be in the warning because they hate us.

I'm flying to Berlin 7am tomorrow till 9pm Sunday. So I'll probably miss all the fun and games, if my flight isn't delayed. Enjoy!

We shall see tomorrow morning how good the new BBC Weather forecast is against the met office. BBC going for rain and sleet and higher temps whereas Metoffice going for heavy snow from 5am - 10am. Then light snow showers. Snowfall highlights these differences

I see you mention February 2009 and that you only got a few flakes in the breeze that surprised me. We got a 5 inch fall. Hampered by a mild sector in the early evening in lower lying areas.

Yep, warnings are out for something a bit more than ice now in our region. Still no real accumulations forecast for low ground, just above 100m.

A couple of heavy showers could turn everything white.
