What depth is it there looks like 3-4 cm on your car roof

C.S

It was close to 2” on some some surfaces, car roof one of them!

I’m surprised at the thaw rate that set in as soon as the snow stopped, drip drip! There is some patchy cover left mainly on the grass which is freezing over, 3 degrees max temp this aft.

It's snowing again mottram and the front seems to be spreading back towards Manchester which weird as it was clearing before now seems to be going westward again how is that possible?

Well a respectable 2-4cm for here in south Lakeland as expected. Seemed to thaw quite rapidly by lunch time despite temps clinging between 1-2 degrees. Spent some time wondering the 'thops where accumulations were very slightly (but not much) higher due to the lower temps.

A bizarre winter for me, I have seen 3 snowfall 'events' which have given slight accumulations (around 2cm mark) which have been preceded by rapid thaws, however, given the fact I have'nt seen any snowfall whatsoever for the previous 4 winters it has been a joy to behold.

Not hoping for much for the remainder of winter now, some sleety snow possible for the rest of the week but nothing significant, and of course as we edge closer to spring, with the models tending to no major cold snap looking on the horizon for our region its looking like winter is slowly petering out.

I am expecting the 2018 weather season to follow the trend of an early onset of spring followed by a cool wet summer.

Barmada.

Don't under estimate the force of the block.

Still snowing here. About 3cm on the fence post.

The town and valley always look their best in snow conditions.

Also nice to see the spire at the former St Saviours through the trees, what a waste of a beautiful building.

I remember the "winter" of 4 years ago. Still hadn't seen any snow by this stage and ended with just 3 air frosts and 3 days of falling sleet/snow in total. A 10 minute snowfall for the whole season including autumn and spring.

Are you still doing your Manchester winter index? (Sorry if that's not what it's called)

i am curious to know how this winter is faring? To me it seems that it has been one of the snowiest I remember, just sadly the snow hasn't sticked, or lasted more than a few hours Imby.

Very biased and mostly off topic mad thread again tonight.

Feel like sticking a post in again because nobody else seems to be doing anything about it.

Posting is one thing, keeping it there for the archive is quite another.
