To be fair why should everyone conform to the cold lovers stereotype.. I'm quite neutral and don't see anyone should be castigated for suggesting there has been a downgrade relative to over inflated expectations. There has and as someone who likes all types of weather with no real preference the expectation of cold can sometimes be almost religious from the outside point of view.

Mod thread is as bent as a banana if your not a follower of that bloody murr character ,forget it .

Yes lol.Pide piper Mr murr.

The easterly is coming,it's here making it's way 1.5m on each run.

Conspicuous in absence when the models start downgrading and back off.

A joke is that thread at times.

To be fair I have seen Steve admit he has got it wrong in the past

For me the Professionals at the METO are as guilty as us at over hyping things,I have seen numerous Tweets saying disruptive snowfall and then when it starts down grading no explanation Given.

Anyway as things stand at the moment Tuesday Looks good for a good few hours of light Snow, with further snow Showers on Wednesday. No point going any further until models get a full grip on the Possible less cold spell.

Yes. My point being, and it's not necessarily a criticism of WH is that when people spot a breakdown they are too quickly jumped upon.. particularly in the model output thread.

I would say 2-5cm going of those charts maybe 10cm for Buxton/Glossop

I Think the METO Warning will reflect that when issued Tomorrow/Monday

Light snow this morning has now stopped, snowline seems to be around 300m. Still looks like a bitterly cold week coming up with the chance of some snow here and there, not quite the extremes that was being hyped up in the MOD thread the other day though!

That would be nice but sounds a bit optimistic to me based on the precipitation charts. The front could pep up on future run I guess. The good thing is that the ground will be frozen so even light snow should give a dusting.
