Worth noting I just went out in it.. at first it was actually sleety ice pellets but now it's wet snow but still fairly small flakes but heavy in intensity.. not settling but if stays at this intensity it will eventually.

 Watch out for those ice pellets as that’s a sign that the 850s are above freezing if they become the dominant precipitation type.

Wet snow here now, looks like another case of watching it die into the wet ground. Wind picking up as well.

 

To think if this event had been the over side of marginal since Tuesday we'd have going on for a foot of snow on the ground!

Light wet snow at valley level just about settling but nowt to get excited about

 Proper snowflakes now with ice pellets mixed in. Hardly any rain drops left. Get in.
