The hills around here are still proper white above say 150M so very close to a good snowfall

GFS For Midnight uppers of -6c DP -1

Similar to Tuesday Hail and Sleet for low ground at best

Unless it has just been updated, the last TAF didn't say anything about heavy snow. In any case it went for heavy snow showers Tuesday night and they didn't happen at least not at lower levels.

I think the wind is still too strong for anything on the coastal plane. I expect the snow-line to move  west through the evening, but it will probably be the old east of the M6 rule overnight.

Could be worse I'm sat in the Wetherspoons in glossop surrounded by the great unwashed and watching the cold rain teeming down. Jesus H where's all the bleeding snow ?

Went to spoons on Halloween for steak night at about 6pm got there they had no meat at all:rofl:

Sounds about right, balls to it it's cheap and I'm par taking in my other great love as weather watching letting me down whereas a pint of San Miguel never does. Cheers.
