 Temperature has been steadily dropping, now 1.1C with big wet flakes!

Yep same situation, wet snow falling as the heaviest precipitation hits, but it's too wet to stick and it won't be long before it passes through.

I can confirm that I have just been behind a gritter near Tesco Hattersley haven driven through Gee Cross. Also noticed highways vehicle near the Gun Inn with Road closed SNOW signs ready to put up for the Woodhead pass.

We currently have snow settling well on wet concrete.

Wet snow at the moment, not sticking, just need temps to fall a little more, which they should do if it peps up a bit more - may get a couple of hours of proper stuff to leave a light cover, better than nothing.

Plenty more snow opportunities in next 4 days, tomorrow and Friday more snow showers possible, and early Sunday could deliver something akin to 29 Dec before the snow turns to rain.
