Looks good on the radar! Showers packing in. We have about 1cm cover so far.

The odd wintry shower rattling through but that’s about it here. Can’t see us getting anything snow wise :sorry:

Hail showers still rattling through. Wind is gusty. Makes for a quiet night in work.

Yes, the strength of the wind has also surprised me. Very gusty at times. Another intense line of precipitation now entering the region.

About an inch of snow/hail accumulated here.

Rather disappointing. Latest batch of precipitation is delivering rain/sleet. Have warmer uppers arrived, or just modification of the flow from the Irish Sea?

Yes really annoying, waiting all night for the heavier/more organised ppn and it is definitely rain/sleet, not snow.... damn! It was 1oC when I went sleep, now 4oC!

The latest euro4 4 is massive push north and follows the GFS18z I'm afraid. A trend develdeveloping

Not a trend?! Just one run to be fair. But no one really knows until the front pushes in later today. I am more worried about it not even be cold enough to begin with here!

Oh well, let's hope the low is a bit further South tonight. As it stands, it looks frustratingly a tad too far North for our locations. Metoffice forecast does still mention rain and snow for tonight with no mention of altitude importance for falling snow. Accumulations mentioned for higher ground. Fingers crossed for a Southerly shift.

Manchester Airport TAF still mentions possibility of snow between 20:00 and 23:00. This forecast is 6 hours old though.

I would guess the moorside crew probably have around 3cm of cover..

Yeah nothing spectacular for this area but we are getting blizzard conditions now with the wind picking up. Here Shaw lower down

Recently updated Manchester Airport TAF still holding steady with possibility of rain or snow overnight.

Nowt special here really.

A couple of inches of snow on the ground and a bit falling at the moment but after watching the forecast I was probably expecting more than that.

2.5 deg here and rainy sleet lol.

Don't hold out much hope for tonight.

I'm in west York's.

Showers just died a death through night and though there was quite a few around.

Still showing a chance of snow from that system later today but temperatures seem a bit high for anything other a slushy mess.

after that a chance of snow showers again tomorrow but a gradual warming trend and mediocrity returns.

Have about an inch and a half, but temperatures rising, definitely looking a bit slushy now.

Most of what fell last night has melted. Left with the cold wind, see if we get any more snow tonight

Forecast on five live mentioned potential for disruptive snow in Northern England tonight. Question is, how far South?

Didn't expect to wake up to it being 6C with a dewpoint of 3C this morning. Well that's a bust.
