Yep same in chorlton. Snow in city centre but just slushy hail here. Oh well maybe tomorrow

Chorlton/Didsbury/Withington all have a very similar setup in situations like this. One of the most snow free areas of Greater Manchester. I used to live in Heaton Chapel (about 80m ASL), which tended to do do better, despite only a slight increase in altitude.

Managed some very intense snow pellet /hail showers, giving a covering in no time - but it isn't proper snow yet! Looking forward to this time tomorrow..also a Wednesday, better than a Tuesday!

Oh, we managed about an hour's worth of snow in Coniston mid afternoon...started to settle...then the shower ran out of steam!

Still large bands of snow gathering over Northern Ireland and South Scotland heading our way hopefully...but this will probably be when only the night owls are awake through the night.  Should make for an interesting rush hour commute tomorrow

Just been reading on the Ireland forum that showers in the NW of the region are starting to turn to sleet and rain.

Yes think is the trough feature expected to arrive about midnight, hopefully will produce a decent cover, just an inch would do.

Lucky today but last two amber warnings were absolute fails.... got 6-7cm cm now.... if showers continue for a bit tonight roads might be bit tricky in morning.... tomorrow’s looking interesting now too....
