Moderate rain with some insane gusts. Biggest since storm Doris.

I'd love to be up in Northern Ireland right now, they have been battered most of the day and shows no sign of letting up!

I have a friend who lives in Kincraig in Scotland just south of Inverness he sent me a video of the snow they have falling and on the ground. A little jealous.

Just created an account. Been keeping tabs on this and the old topic regarding the recent snow.

Currently got some heavy hail and snow in Shaw, Oldham right now.

Well so far a really poor effort this. Apart from Will in the clouds, does anyone have any lying snow then?

No.

Just back from the gym. Nothing at all there (Parrs Wood), but up the road near the Christie in Withington there’s now a slushy covering of snow.

Didsbury (next to the Mersey) seems to have a bit of a mild micro-climate .. it’s just so low-lying.

Heavy wintry mix - mainly snow - falling from the sky; grounds to saturated for it to settle though unless it gets a lot heavier, not to mention it's being blown all over the place in these winds.

Latest on here mate, upgrade! Could do with a slight shift south still.

Yes, from that it looks like a period of snow followed by rain for southern areas of region, I am still hoping for another slight shift south and it could get interesting across the whole region. Regardless, higher ground and further north will do well tomorrow night :-)

OMFG !!!!

HAHAHA

And yet that somehow, according to the BBC app gives me a solitary hour of heavy snow amongst hours and hours of sleet.

I give up.

Yikes, i'm supposed to be in Buxton tomorrow picking up some household supplies. Looks like that trip might be cancelled if the forecast snow accumulation tops-up by the morning.
