Wow, trough activity moving west at T120, -12c uppers just about in, quite heavy snow showers SE, EA, Lincs moving in. T120 chart of the day I'd say, now just stay there.

1040mb scandi high.

Don’t fancy a chicken wig the feathers would stick in the mouth rather...! Happy with a bbq pheasant though as long as it’s plucked.. ?

After a sunny morning it went very dark here as the front cleared through about lunchtime. Popped out about 1:30 on my lunch and it felt very much cooler in the wind than when I went in at 8am!

4c now, full moon rising so hopefully a frost in the morning

Looking at the latest fax chart for Saturday, it looks as though that front could be held back by the cold block to the east.

I’m guessing if the progress is slowed down, cold air will undercut and there will be more chance of snow in our region later in the day.

nope. I made it bigger and it looks like a shadow on the puffer bit.

Oh dear.Many years ago I did the same thing on a brand new jacket, most annoying., depends on the material and what it looks like and how big it is and where it is but you could

take a bit of material from the inside and sew it over the stain with very small same colour stitches.

 

cover it with a pin badge or patch

 

dye it with the same colour dye just on that spot

 

if posiible and confident you could split through the actual stain and gather the sides oover it then sew to conceal it, depends how tight the material is.

what's i've done doesn't look too bad, can't really see it unless you really look. being a mum i guess i can get away with the odd stain.

Yh thats true, you will have to ask Lassie about that though, what he does about the feathers in his chicken wigs?

Oh, peasants are plucked alright and I'm cooking them on a splif round and round with BBQ sauce. Enough of that though, we went through all this the other day we just need lots of snow now.

What are peoples thoughts on the conditions on Saturday evening?  My son is going to the observatory at Greenwich with his cub pack to star gaze.  A few days ago looked like might get some clear skies but thats looking pretty unlikely now?
