Do you think you could solve this riddle...it's very tough grrrr...

My 1st name means I can be male or female but I'm confused.

I wear my coat of arms with pride.

Everyone of us has a unique coat of arms.

Please don't make a hat out of me.

I can sing I'm not artificial.

Please welcome me with an open door not a round one.

You all named me wrong. You were too early! Il never forgive you.

Lots of hail showers this afternoon. We had one particular shower at dusk which was very heavy and short lived but covered all surfaces, and stuck for a while.

If I can have the real stuff, this comes a very distant 4th, but good to watch as it’s falling.

I wouldn’t believe it myself if I hadn’t measured it. Just under an inch of ‘snow’ out the back door just now. It even settled on pavement. Crazy!

Y'know, I don't know if this is the right place to say this, but I have been ill recently, and you lot always cheer me up. This last week has been pretty miserable, but I love you guys here on the SEthread. (I know, I sound drunk).

Thanks :drinks:

Ugh tonight I literally watched it snow on the horizon the the north, and on the radar round the corner. At least the last couple of years there has been no snow at all, this winter it seems to be just within reach and then gone.

So this SSW thing? Is it actually going to bring me some snow? Would be so grateful for someone to actually explain it in basic English??

There seems to be a Cheshire streamer building at the moment, could have enough energy to reach some parts of our region.

Sorry I fell asleep, had 2 pints in the local pub late afternoon and some wine with different dinner! :drunk-emoji:

I think you must be referring to a netweather member, maybe a pesky one?!!

Winters back on!...according to gfs 12z. Careful what you say if you go into the MOD thread, some take it all very seriously but at the moment it's all a bit of a giggle. :)

MetO update looks okay-ish but considerably less bullish than of late. Can we squeeze a week - a few days - of ‘proper’ cold and snowfall down here through his SSW? That’s all I want. That’s all.

Snowing quite a lot here, the winds whipping it into almost blizzard like conditions.
