Just got back home here in Walthamstow a little while ago. I think it's going to be a cold one tonight clear skies and a distinct chill. Not looking forward to the wind and cold rain later tomorrow tho.

Anyway hope you all are having a great Friday evening it's just so fun on this thread we have our laughs and everyone seems so nice aaaahhhhh. Next few days coming up are real nail biting and we are going to be on the edge. Hope it all works out for us and we get our prize for this long wait.

Anyone hear the beast roaring from the east.

Enjoy the evening guys and girls and keep up the good posts ?

All the best

regards ????

Yep tonight is going to be a cold one, a widespread air frost for pretty much everyone.

arpegeuk-41-17-0.png?09-17

Probably down to around -5C in sheltered spots but widely -1C to -3C.

In honesty tomorrow looks pretty horrible with a band of rain moving south east with temperatures struggling up to middle single figures, so another day where it isn't quite cold enough for snow. Sunday looks better with just a few showers.

Evening Matt, This morning along with tomorrow afternoon was/is highly annoying but yes Sunday should give at least a sighting of something white. To say this period has been annoying is an understatement.

Well.. the widespread snow forecast from the HIRLAM could not have been more wrong, so props to the APERGE for calling this one with the very little snow risk for our region today.

Just seen the extended BBC forcast looks as if next week is going to mild cold then mild then cold lol. There is also the potential of some snow but it looks the west will be most effected did also mention that cold and snow returning by next weekend with a North wind setting in. Also beyond that there are hints of an easterly developing so it could get even colder towards months end.

Not bad the forcast but must admit the new graphics really do spoil it it's much harder to pinpoint exact locations compared to the old style.

So that's the update from the BBC. Good to see they are sniffing this easterly ....,.dresms can come true

regards ????

I certainly think we will see winds swing around towards the east during the last third of the month. The question as always is what type of weather we willget. We could get a south/south easterly which might not be cold at all, a cold and dry east/south easterly with little in the way of cold air aloft or we could get a proper Siberian blast. Those options are probably the ones on the table for now in the extended range.

Posted these earlier, but I suspect this is a fairly good picture in regards to how things will evolve broadly speaking. A large area of high pressure will build somewhere close to our north east with a surface flow from an easterly quadrant. Worht also noting that as we get to the end of the run we see low heights to our west diminish suggesting the pattern could very well back west and also note towards Russia as cold air starts to push south west across the country and underneath the high as the lowest heights over the pole transfer from Canada towards Siberia. Now this would be the hints of a possible beasterly setting up as the chances of cleaning advecting that cold air towards us will be a lot higher under the atmonspheric conditions we will be about to witness as opposed to a few weeks ago when the Canadian lobe was bashing though any heights like an axe wielding maniac.

A lot to be optimistic about, but usual caveats apply, I think we will see extensive blocking, but will we get the severe cold in from the east or just a slight chill with dry/sunny days and night frosts.

And all of you who are still praying for snow, please indicate clearly where you want the snow, IE SE England and in particular as close as possible to snowrays backyard. We don't want any snow going to places that have had lots already, its our turn now!

If the Beeb feel the need to mention the SSW, and its easterly effects, We must be in for a chance at a real snow event!

Have Faith... the beast is coming! It's our turn soon!!!

Yes indeed at this moment of time the way things are materialising it is looking very interesting. We could be on the verge of getting something ver special to our small island, I think the model forums are going to get very busy ( on the condition there is no downgrade).

Anyway good peeps getting early night got work again tomorrow.

Take care night night

ZZZZZZZzzzzzz❄️️❄️️❄️️❄️️❄️️❄️️....cold dresms ???
