Looking pretty grim on the radar it has to be said - just not enough kick in that front.

Pretty depressive watching that precip just fizzle when it hits EA !

The PPN is is on two fronts:

1st front around the Norwich area moving in a Southbound direction
2nd front is from Lincoln to Yeovil and moving in a Southbound direction

Both fronts will merge and intensify as it moves Southbound

The stuff is honestly breaking up as soon as it is getting over the Wash, no doubt about it.

Where abouts do you think they will merge?

I have concerns for those in southern coastal counties and for south east..(the region)

Decay-and fragmentation taking place atm..

Although plent of time for re-surge!

Lets hope this is'nt the trend!!!

Hardly any snow for the SE on that chart..

I'd hate to have to endure that cold without any snow.

If that chart verified on the day, moisture from the North Sea would be our best friend as the beast from the east wind flow would be the driving force :D

The next few radar runs should show us what is likely to happen, but the fact that GFS, the Met Office and the Beeb have all upgraded should give us some hope that it will intensify again as it converges... Where it will converge is yet to be ascertained.

So it's back to chasing snow flurries now. Sigh. I really hope this SSW event leads to something good for us all.

Had a couple of very light snow and graupel showers,so I have seen snow falling 3 days in a row now, looking at the radar at that ppn is really getting the life sucked out of it as it travels south, not expecting anything if im honest,I just hope we can get 1 memorable snow event this winter, pretty please

The front edge might be dying as it moves into dryer air but the back edge is building up, so I wouldn't worry too much just yet5a7a2337e9ab0_ScreenShot2018-02-06at21_50_32.thumb.png.83f572d34277cb98a636a92d3dec3047.png

Very true, there is still a nice amount of energy there, it could help force things through and keep the energy to it. All is not lost yet.

Fronts often re-invigorate themselves as they move inland if they have enough energy behind them.

The front pulling Southwards should pull the snow Southwards with it, admittedly the further South you are, the less hopeful I'd be but all is certainly not lost, as long as we have the snow backbuilding then there's no problem
