Looks like moderate snow blob over Ipswich region could be heading towards herne bay/Faversham/Whitstable area then through kent if it follows current path then through ashford area and out through hastings or just east. That's IF it follows same path and IF it doesn't die out

Temp and DP have both dropped by 0.3ºc since that mini flurry went through.

just shows how snow starved we are in the UK when we are all excited over a few flakes falling out of the sky, me included.  God knows what the country would be like if we actually had a decent snowfall.

The ppn is building again as it passes South over London, so Surrey and Sussex could see some light snow soon, but the sweet spot looks to be East Anglia and East Kent for the heavier stuff in the next few hours. There seems to be a good build in ppn over the North Sea by Lincolnshire that is heading SSE, which could also affect East Anglia.

Sorry a little random, but just wondering -  have the BBC switched over to this Metogroup? Only for the first time ever (well it's the first time that I've noticed) the forecast for my area on the Met Office website doesn't match up with the BBC one, and it's normally exactly the same. Plus, they've switched over to new graphics etc as well, so just wondering :)

There are so many patches of snow about. Surely if the wind is blowing NNE some of these will push further inland and catch us

The wind seems to be N/NE now.

Trouble is they evaporate before they reach London
