I’m expecting there will be an emergency Cobra meeting sometime today to discuss contingency plans for the on going freeze. As we speak polystyrene balls falling from the sky ???

It looks like it wants to snow but nothing is falling out the sky.

Not enough convective energy, but some places might get a temporary covering. Or at least see something white falling from the sky!

Snow has actually fallen here in The Triangle this morning; not a lot, but not a lot is better than nowt...Not like in Kent though!:cold:

Lol had lots of showers here, some sleet some graupel, no covering, however for some obscure reason they still cancelled the bus that gets the kids to school on time, and the next one was ten minutes late. I'm guessing some drivers couldn't get in, Folkestone and the a20 were covered, and there was a heavy graupel shower going on, which may have caused snowy problems on higher routes around here.

It's deffo colder, in fact i'll say it feels colder now, than this morning. Cloudy but dry.

I'm quite happy my home town got some snow this morning, it never snows there.:cold:

Some nice snow this morning, most of it has thawed now. Still nice to see.

It's dangerously cold here! We only reached 4.1c this afternoon - can you believe I've only recorded 8 colder daily maximum temps this winter - brrrrr!

To think I was reading a load of tripe about this being the coldest winter weather since 2010 last week!

In that clip I agree but here in Hastings/St Leonards-on-Sea the snow was a lot heavier than that for a time. Darned if I can work out how to post a photo/video on here.

Well the mad thread will cheer up now

looks as though the models are favouring the north westerners once again if ukmo is on the money

hoping tomorrow night may be one last chance out of this easterly for most of our region

Would love a bit of surprise snowfall for the region tonight....def feels colder now.

That’s the problem the last five years when we are cold, nada

when we ain’t,precipitation every where marginal wet crap

we always seem to flip the double headed coin in our region we just can’t get a break lately.

The forecast I've just watched talks of snow pepping up tomorrow evening across East Anglia and SE England.

True?

Yes that is true. Latest model output suggests this is more likely across Lincs into Norfolk could be a tad disruptive.
