Just now, Nick F said:

Carol 'Humdinger' Kirkwood saying the front with snow band invigorating as it arrives across SE and EA Tues night and even mentioned thunder and lightning! We'll see ...

Don’t say that H word, you’ll jinx everything!

Really came down here in Southend for about 20 mins, real heavy snow that settled very quickly. Makes you wonder what could have been if we’d had something more organised and persistent!

A dusting of about 1cm here, just to the west of Ipswich. Temp +0.3C but dewpoint showing as -2C. The snow/sleet showers not making it far inland on the NE'ly flow.

Looking really dark out towards the coast from here, hoping there is more to come.

So in Chingford we’ve had a grand total of a few grains of dandruff on the cars.

showers def taking a more east to west track now.

In response to something I saw earlier on. Tommorow precipitation seems to die and stall central and northern England westward, but seems to pep up again as the front leaves easy anglia and the south east of England, something to watch in the next run. But will probably be now casting

Have had snow showers on & off all night but wth temps hovering between 2&3c hardly surprzing that nothing has stuck. Not the sort of temps i expected wth -10 850s of a continental source..

Quite what we need to get lying snow these days has me at a loss!!

Kids are upset cos daddy told them it would snow in the night. It did !! The wrong type i told them....

Just say to them.. Snow is only rain in dis skies or disguise anyway.. Lol ?

0.3c in Haywards Heath, tiniest little dusting of snow.

I see tomorrows snow looks like missing me to lol. I think I'm going to have to do one of my Road trips and take my 6 year old boy with me so he can see some snow for once, Wonder how far I would have to go this weekend to find some snow?

Light but persistent snow still in West Kent. Have a good covering with no sign of any thaw. The pavements are absolutely treacherous and partner reports that the train to London was deserted so I imagine some commuters in the villages nearby couldn't get to the station. By Orpington apparently the snow has completely gone. This is the first decent covering we've had since 2013 so I'm happy!

Looking at tomorrow night it seems on gfs and arpege that the front diminishes to nothing over our region which is a shame.... Friday looks like rain :(

Look at my earlier post^^ bbc forecast aswell seemed to reignite the precipitation as it leaves se of uk. One to watch, but did mention, very hard for even high end models to pick up on something like this. Remember there is still the chance that it might not even stall, nowvasting and radar watching
