Been snowing quite steadily for a while in Hailsham but nothing settling yet. Need another one degree drop in temperature I reckon.

Snow that looks like white hail, very light roles in the wind like polistarine balls.

It was icey sleet in this case anyway.

Still starry clear skies here...getting really frustrated now knowing it's so close! Grrrrr!

Good night peeps, I guess some of you will wake to a covering, so please post the pics, unlikely here in south London tonight, though stranger things  have happened ...

I’d say S London has a better chance than here near Heathrow! Good luck on getting snow tho

Lamppost just gone off I'm not happy, in fact I'm quite sad

Get the ladder out and go stick a new bulb in it

Or do the council turn them off at midnight there too?

Still think it’s just going to be a Kent event

From beeb forecast she mentioned a covering a snow possible even in SE London although I’m not really that southeast so for myself I do not expect that. This was expected upon current flow from bbc graphics they only really had snow showers going properly inland from 0500 it looked best for NW Kent the night is young.

Tbh not much happening, I think the east Kent streamer is mostly sleet and everyone on the one further west is either already asleep or not posting. I think asleep, as the assumption was nothings going to happen. The few reports from that lot suggest snow though.

Hi Alex :)

Yes i'm sure you are right- after reading Exeters update i think there will be more chances as we move through Feb- certainly for the SE brigade who have had a terrible few years winter wise ( summer wise i always look on in envy from the soggy North west).

I be up all night until 8am so i will be watching the radar wishing you guys good luck, bye for now ..
