Yep same here just, the graupel seems to be creating a covering on cars though lol.

Just back home after going to Beefeater in West Hougham for my son's birthday (11 today and only second time he's had snow on his birthday, last time was 2012 I think).

When we arrived at 5:30 the cars already there had slush on windscreens and driving home at 6:45 it was snowing on the A20 and still when we got home. Shed roof now white

Temp at 7pm is 3c, thats plus, clear skies, uppers of about -8c hpa, dew points now at 0c......why is it still so mild? I'm really confused about this, its colder with snow in April here sometimes on a NEly and uppers of only -6/-7c????

I must admit, that has confused me too. My only theory is sea temperature and no snow cover on the continent. Sea temperatures are slightly above average and the continent has no snow cover at all.

Still thinking Medway will get something overnight, DP of -2 here now

Our biggest issue is getting the showers to us.. they're staying miles away right now

You’re in the prime position, Steve. I bet I see nothing tonight, unless this front delivers.

Country file forecast was terrible. May see a dusting in places tomorrow morning. Friday looks like our best chance if it’s cold enough. The build up for tonight and this week has been well over ramped lol. I wouldnt waste your time lamp post watching tonight. Onwards and upwards there’s always next time?⛄️❄️

Was definitely over ramped, but some areas will see snow tonight and tomorrow.

I never bought into the ramping as soon as the models watered down.

From mid month everything turns more favourable

The coldest dew points won’t arrive till later in the night , the current flow is more ne this is expected to swing more east ne later.

Why do these things always seem to happen overnight? Why never during the day when I'm going to be awake and ready anyway

That front, according to the latest fax charts, is set to move across the south of England. I guess that will enhance the snow risk

I think there's nothing nicer than waking up to fresh snow. When you don't expect it.

Evening good peeps just got back home I. Walthamstow the sky looks really clear no cloud at all.  Temperature has dropped a lot it just feels if anything was to fall nowi it won't be rain.

I guess like some others on here I do hold the colours of disappointment I did think this cold snap would provide something hope I am not speaking too soon let's hope.

Anyway the cold is here the table is set but where is the guest.

Probably still boarding the plane from Moscow.

Regards ????
