It bodes well for you.

bear in mind folks the warning only actives 8PM tonight the day is very young currently we’re seeing the cold upper temps filtering through the lower atmosphere it isn’t an instant process. By sunset it should be largely snow for most.

Cloud seems to be developing widely to the northeast, so even if we don’t get heavy showers, I think many will see flurries

my lamp post has been tampered with, gone is the warm orange glowy lighting, now replaced with bright white crud

Mines to far away and to low, there's stairs up from the road then a path, then more stairs up to the house. The lamppost is next to the road, level with the beginning of the first set of stairs. Have to look down to see under the light, and there's a tree too.

I have french patio doors at the flat,my sofa is just to left of them as you.look at it,the outside lights will be on later, and the curtain will not be drawn,no neighbours at the back of me,just trees and great dixter house,so no-one can see me,I shall spend most of tonight looking in anticipation, and hoping I get some snow, been under some hefty showers so far,but sadly its been sleety at best

The biggest issue with regard to cold over Europe is the lack of snow cover. If the continent was covered in snow, we would be more likely to draw in much lower temperatures and dew points.

My trip to Margate was eventful.

Waves were crashing over the harbour wall so I stood there to try and get some cool pictures, the inevitable happened and I got absolutely soaked. There were a few heavy sleet showers but never fully snow, dew points too high I presume?

Everything should be on the way down now so hopefully we'll start to see them falling increasingly as snow now.

Confused , temp and DP on the rise again ?

Mines gone down to0.9 although it has been far from stable which is unusual. Up and down a few points now and then.

Dew points are no issue for the foreseeable at least inland.

it's raining:bad:

Can confirm had some drizzle that lasted about 30 seconds about an hour or so ago, temp 5c so not really cold.

Where did our cold uppers go in the end, why do they always downgrade for us here?????

Surely there should be a front coming up from France with them milder temps with snow? No, its just some milder dry air, thats it, the snow stays over Paris.

Yes, but it would be nice to have some deeper cold to tap into.

Make the most of the next 24 hours, some places may get a covering.

I have to say with a very heavy heart that I don’t know if this is going to be as good as first hoped(I could be very very very wrong) I’m hoping that I will be very much but I’m just not sure. Sorry everyone. Things just keep being downgraded not upgraded it’s making me very sad :sorry:

It was never going to be a snowfest sadly,im just up the road from you,had a fair few hefty sleet showers, but dew points are still too high at the moment, think a few in the region will see some snow, but another 2010 is a long long way off

Does it look like more showers are popping up in the North Sea?

Yes, and soon you’ll see them band and align into streamers.
