After considerable deliberation with myself, I have come to the conclusion that we have a heavy fine 'snizzle' shower here.

BBC still showing 'Light Snow' for my area in South Essex. Getting a bit worried now that this is going to be another non-event for me again. Need the winds to move to a more ENE direction tonight and it could be jackpot for me!

There's a larger area of ppn moving out of Germany, into Holland, now, which may have our name on it, for later, if it holds, together. Can be seen on the Dutch Radar.

https://www.buienradar.nl/

If you look on Meteociel, you can see the reports of snow, on the Dutch/German border. Something to keep an eye on.

Tom.

I think this is in association with the occlusion showing on the fax charts. This is likely to bring snow to a wider area than any localised streamers.

Light to moderate rain/sleet/graupel showers on and off the last couple of hours. Bright sunshine for now and 3c. Dew point higher than earlier at 2c...are these meant to drop again later?

I’m keeping my eye on the showers developing around the wash and heading south west. They seem to be targeting areas to the west of London.

expecting a few showers here but nothing substantial and not enough to give anything more than a few flakes resting on car windscreens

Same here now, showers seem to have stopped. Or at least missing this corner.
